Prof. Samir Biswas is an Assistant Professor in the Operations Management Area at the Indian Institute of Management Udaipur. He holds a Ph.D. in Operations Management from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering from Jadavpur University.

His research employs game-theoretic, optimization, and simulation methods to examine problems in agricultural supply chains, socially responsible operations, and organizational learning. His work has been published in the European Journal of Operational Research, and he has presented at leading international conferences, including POMS, IFORS, and NACRA. He has also authored teaching cases with Ivey Publishing and Emerald Emerging Market Case Studies and is a recipient of the Paul R. Lawrence Fellowship from the Case Research Foundation.

Prior to his present role at IIM Udaipur, Prof. Biswas served as an Assistant Professor at Jadavpur University for six years and worked in a techno-managerial and administrative capacity with Indian Railways for over three years, as part of the Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE) cadre. This experience in managing large-scale, capacity-constrained infrastructure systems grounds his research in the operational realities of complex, real-world operations.

Dr. Rik Paul is a higher education academic, educator and learning experience designer with interests spanning innovative pedagogy, experiential learning, gamification, management education, leadership development and the future of higher education. Currently associated with IILM University, Greater Noida, Dr. Paul combines academic experience with a strong interest in reimagining how students and professionals learn.

His work explores how games, simulations, experiential activities and learner-centric pedagogies can transform conventional classroom environments into more engaging, immersive and meaningful learning experiences. He is a Certified LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Facilitator and Marketplace Simulations Trainer, and uses these approaches to facilitate learning through play, problem-solving, collaboration, reflection and real-world decision-making.

His workshops focus on helping educators and academic professionals move from teaching content to designing experiences — using gamification and experiential pedagogies to increase engagement, encourage critical thinking, strengthen collaboration and improve learning outcomes.
